Passage of Jomon and Pakur

For more than 40 years, Yoshiharu Sekino, an explorer known for his famous TV series “Great Journey,” has been traveling all over the world in search of human life in harmony with nature. This documentary, filmed over 4 years, follows Sekino as he embarks on the most difficult journey of his career. Using only the materials available to ancient peoples Sekino sets out to make a canoe that will take him on a voyage from Indonesia to Japan, retracing their route an encountering many of the same perils as did the ancient explorers before him.
