Sayaka Kudo (Kasumi Arimura) is a popular student with her dyed-blonde hair and gyaru fashion, but academically she is an utter failure. She mistakes historical figures for schoolyard insults, doesn't know North from South, or even that the earth is round. When she meets a certain teacher, Yoshitaka Tsubota (Atsushi Itō), he inspires her and she set the seemingly imposible goal of gaining entrance to the prestigious Keio University. Now, supported by her friends, family and mentor, with his overly positive outlook on education, Sayaka begins to concentrate single-mindedly on her studies in pursuit of a once unthinkable dream.
