We are so pleased to be joined by Geoffrey Wexler from Studio Ghibli for 30 min. Q&A after the December 8th screening! This is the closing film of the festival, so don’t miss it!
The final film of the great animator Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro). The Wind Rises follows the life of Jiro Horikoshi, the man who designed the famed Zero fighter plane. With the same fantastic visuals of his previous films, the Wind Rises is something wondrous — a pacifist film with a protagonist who understands that his country is headed for disaster, but pursues his dream none-the-less. It’s a great and astonishingly beautiful work about the fragility of humanity and the pursuit of love. A must see.
Rated: PG-13
