The aftermath of the Tohoku Earthquake left a wake of destruction and catastrophe northeastern Japan, caused by the accident at the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant. Thousands of animals were left to die in the disaster zone as people were forced to evacuate the area. Pet owners have been tormented with guilt as they had no choice but to abandon their innocent companions. In this heartbreaking story, a young man who questions the government's policy risks his own life to rescue his beloved dog.

日本ではまだ３１１の震災後に発生した福島第一原発事故の傷から完全に立ち直れたとは言えない状況です。そんな中、今でも人間が去った後の無人地帯・警戒区域内には沢山のペット・動物が取り残されています。本作は原発事故によって自らのペットを失ってしまい、その傷に苦しむ人間の姿を、少年を主人公にした視点から描いています。
